Michael Clancy Jr’s racing career started off in quarter midgets. He claimed several wins and championships while racing quarter midgets. In 2014 Michael competed in six midwest thunder races and won all six. The midwest thunder series is considered some of the toughest racing in the nation. Michael finished with 8 wins, 17 podiums, and 24 top fives. Michael transitioned to full size stock cars in 2015 at Owosso Speedway in the Sportsman division. In his rookie season he finished 5th in year end points. In 2016 Michael returned to traveling with the Jegs All Star Tour series where he had three top ten finishes. He finished the year 2nd in Rookie points and 7th in overall points for the year.
Michael’s goal for 2017 was to continue to hone his racing skills, he definitely accomplished that! Michael achieved two fast qualifier awards and finished 2nd in the points championship in the Jegs All Star Tour in 2017. Michael was partnered with Made In Detroit, Dalton Industries, and Ilmor Engineering for the 2017 season.
